CertWatch is built for teams. Create organizations to manage certificates collaboratively and control access.

Organizations

An organization is your team’s workspace in CertWatch. Each organization has:
  • Its own set of certificates
  • Notification channels
  • Team members with roles
  • Billing and subscription

Organization Types

Personal

Created automatically when you sign up. Good for:
  • Individual projects
  • Testing and evaluation
  • Personal domains

Team

Shared workspace for multiple users:
  • Invite team members
  • Role-based permissions
  • Shared notification channels

Creating an Organization

Click Organization Switcher

In the sidebar, click your current organization name.

Create New

Click Create Organization.

Enter Details

  • Organization name
  • (Optional) Description

Create

Click Create to set up the new organization.

Switching Organizations

  1. Click the organization name in the sidebar
  2. Select the organization you want to switch to
  3. The page will reload with that organization’s data

Organization Settings

Access organization settings by:
  1. Going to Settings in the sidebar
  2. Clicking Organization tab

General Settings

  • Organization name
  • Description
  • Default notification preferences

Danger Zone

  • Transfer ownership
  • Delete organization
Deleting an organization removes all certificates, channels, and team members. This cannot be undone.

Best Practices

  1. One org per project/client - Keep certificates organized
  2. Invite all stakeholders - Ensure the right people get notifications
  3. Use descriptive names - Make it easy to identify organizations
  4. Review access regularly - Remove former team members promptly
