Adding a Single Certificate

Navigate to Certificates
Click Certificates in the sidebar to open the certificates page.

Click Add Certificate
Click the Add Certificate button in the top right corner.

Enter Domain
Enter the domain you want to monitor. Examples:
example.comapi.example.com*.example.com(wildcard certificates)

Configure Options
- Name (optional) - A friendly name for the certificate
- Port - Default is 443, change if your certificate is on a different port
- Alert Thresholds - Select when to receive notifications

Save
Click Add Certificate to start monitoring.
Domain Format
Enter domains in one of these formats:| Format | Example | Description |

| Domain only | example.com | Monitors on default port 443 |
| Subdomain | api.example.com | Monitors specific subdomain |
| With port | example.com:8443 | Monitors on custom port |
Alert Thresholds
Configure when to receive notifications before expiry:- 30 days - Early warning for planning
- 14 days - Two weeks to renew
- 7 days - One week warning
- 3 days - Urgent reminder
- 1 day - Final warning
After Adding
Once added, CertWatch will:- Immediately fetch the certificate information
- Calculate days until expiry and set status
- Schedule regular checks (every 6 hours)
- Send notifications based on your alert thresholds
Troubleshooting
Certificate Not Found
If you see an error after adding a domain:- Verify the domain is publicly accessible
- Check that SSL is properly configured on the server
- Ensure no firewall is blocking port 443 (or your custom port)
- Try accessing
https://yourdomain.comin a browser first
Wrong Certificate Detected
If the wrong certificate is detected:- The domain may be behind a CDN or proxy
- Check if the certificate matches what you see in your browser
- Try adding the origin server domain directly
