When Notifications Are Sent
Notifications are triggered based on your configured alert thresholds:| Threshold | Description |
|---|---|
| 30 days | Early planning reminder |
| 14 days | Two-week warning |
| 7 days | One-week warning |
| 3 days | Urgent reminder |
| 1 day | Final warning |
Each notification is sent only once per threshold per certificate. You won’t receive duplicate alerts.
Notification Content
Every notification includes:- Domain name - The affected certificate’s domain
- Current status - Valid, Expiring, or Expired
- Days remaining - Time until expiration
- Expiration date - Exact date and time
- Action link - Direct link to view certificate in CertWatch
Managing Channels
Navigate to Channels in the sidebar to:- View all configured notification channels
- Add new channels
- Edit existing channel settings
- Test channel connectivity
- Enable/disable channels
Channel Status
Each channel shows its current status:| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Channel is working and will receive notifications |
| Paused | Temporarily disabled by you |
| Error | Issue with channel configuration |
Notification Preferences
In Settings, you can configure:- Daily digest - Receive a summary of all certificate statuses
- Immediate alerts - Get notified as soon as a threshold is reached
- Critical only - Only notify for 3-day and 1-day thresholds
